Get your garden on and learn how to turn organic yard materials and kitchen scraps into a valuable garden amendment with a free backyard composting class.
The Clark County Master Composter/Recycler Program at Columbia Springs will teach a free backyard composting workshop on Saturday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to noon at C.A.S.E.E. in Brush Prairie.C.A.S.E.E. is located at 11104 NE 149th St. in Brush Prairie, and is a Career and Technical Education program operated and supported by Battle Ground Public Schools to provide an outdoor laboratory for learning. Class participants will view the composting demonstration site to learn about various ways to make garden compost.
