The SMO Books team presents a series of classes geared toward helping small-business owners in Vancouver create customized social media plans.

The workshop series, which is sponsored in part by COUV.COM, will be held at historic Fort Vancouver and run intermittently through April. Each session lasts one hour.

The five-part series begins Feb. 15 and includes a free introductory class on social media to launch the series. The series will focus on blogging, Twitter, LinkedIn and tech tools for time management.

On Feb. 21 the class will tackle blogging, how to measure success and how to promote your blog.

On March 6 the topic is Twitter, and will include three things you must do to be successful.

The March 20 class will cover LinkedIn and how to optimize your profile.

And on April 10 participants will learn tools and time management.
