Many businesses throughout Clark County saw a jump in their personnel numbers on April 28.

The new faces, which were between the ages of 8 and 18 years, were taking part in Take Our Daughters And Sons to Work Day.

US Digital, located in Cascade Park, had activities to learn about products the company manufacturers – encoders, position sensors and inclinometers, with a mini-helicopter thrown in for fun.

Stephen Burtt and Lawrence Dennis of NW Aero Pix, a division of US Digital, held this demonstration in front of the 18,000 square foot manufacturing and distribution center.

The duo has more than 10 years of unmanned aerial vehicle experience and an infectious enthusiasm for flying aircraft of any size. NW Aero Pix recently helped with the filming of Treeverse, an adventure documentary about two people who traveled a kilometer through tree canopies in northwest Oregon without touching the ground.

More than 40 young people participated in the US Digital event and watched in awe at the takeoff and landing of the remote-controlled multicopter.
