Last Wednesday electric cello/percussionist Steven Sharp Nelson and classical pianist Jon Schmidt launched “Michael meets Mozart.” We’ve added it to our Memorial Day lineup because we think the collision of classical and modern music speaks to the heart of the diversity of men and women who have served our country.

Since the video debuted on May 17, it has been viewed more than 375,000 times. That breaks down into about 50,000 views per day.

The duo will perform in the Northwest with a benefit concert on June 16 at the Colonial Theatre in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
